Each service has unique problems to solve and billions invested in legacy systems. "I just can't throw away everything we own -- nor can the Air Force -- and start over," Gen. Mike Murray, head of Army Futures Command, says. "How does the Air Force architecture integrate with the Army architecture, with the Navy architecture?"

The Air Force will lead work on the concept for command & control, the Navy will lead joint fires, and the Army has logistics.
"Historically the Arctic, like space, was characterized as a predominantly peaceful domain," the Air Force Secretary Barbara Barrett said. "This is changing."
Gen. Jeffrey Harrigian, head of Air Forces Europe, said allies must be included in JADC2 development: "You can't just bring them in in execution and go: 'Hey we built the plan, so, sorry, just do what we told you."
"We can't break the US Air Force, we can't break the Army, we can't break the Navy," said Lt. Gen. David Thompson, Space Force vice commander.
Goldfein said up to now no major programs have shown any signs of being "in a critical state ... at risk of cancellation" due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
The "Agility Prime" event next week will kick off with speeches by Air Force Secretary Barbara Barrett, Chief of Staff Gen. David Goldfein, Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, and Air Force acquisition head Will Roper.
AMC has repatriated a total of 350 citizens by "gray tail" aircraft since March 19, Lt. Gen. Thomas said.
The Air Force will release some $882 million in cash it has withheld from Boeing due to problems on the 33 aircraft that have been delivered, Will Roper said. The only was released, in part, by concerns about Boeing's corporate health, as well as that of its subcontractors, because of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
